Understanding Family Violence Intervention Orders

A one-hour free information session about Family Violence Intervention Orders. The event will feature an audience-appropriate presentation by Legal Aid and Victoria Police, explaining what a family violence intervention order is, its conditions and any exceptions. The session will also provide an overview of the court process and explain how applications can be made to change or vary an intervention order. 

This session will increase understanding of family violence and the legal framework in place to help protect family members from violence but also options for parties to change intervention orders to better suit their circumstances.
