Event information

The Neighbourhood Justice Centre is hosting a screening of The Blueprint, a powerful documentary by 16 Yards exploring youth crime through the lived experiences of ten young men who have disengaged from offending.

The film offers a rare and honest insight into the pathways both into and out of crime, examining the complex social, personal, and systemic factors that shape young people’s choices. It highlights the relationships, supports, and critical turning points that helped these young men break cycles of offending.

Following the screening, the discussion will continue with a live panel led by 16 Yards co‑founders and speakers with lived experience of the justice system. The panel will explore what pushes young people towards crime, what pulls them away, and what interventions genuinely make a difference. A moderated Q&A will allow audience members to engage directly with the panel.

This event is open to everyone, including professionals, students, and community members interested in youth justice and crime prevention. Attendees will gain an unfiltered understanding of youth offending, the importance of early intervention, and practical insights that can be applied within communities to support safer, more positive outcomes.
