Our Rights, Right Here is a fun and interactive “Lunch and Law” community event that explores how the law connects to everyday life. Designed for people of all ages, the session invites participants to work together to create fictional stories based on common legal issues that might arise in the neighbourhood, such as housing, fines, work, or family matters.
Through guided discussion, participants will explore how these situations can unfold, what legal questions might arise, and where to go for help. The session includes opportunities for conversation, questions, and shared learning in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Refreshments will be provided.
The event also marks the official launch of the second stage of the community‑driven art project What We Love About West Heidelberg, created in partnership with We Love Stories. Building on the mural launched at a previous Law Week event, this expanded project features illustrated local places with movable characters and objects that bring community stories to life.
Come along to learn something new, share your perspective, and celebrate community spirit in making our rights real in 3081. No prior legal knowledge is needed.
