Event information

Important changes to Victorian rental laws came into effect on 25 November 2025, with reforms designed to better protect renters, improve housing standards, and make renting fairer and more transparent.

This session is for anyone who rents their home in Victoria. It will explain what the new rental laws mean in practice and how they affect renters in their day‑to‑day lives. The session will walk through the key changes and provide clear, practical information about renter rights, protections, and responsibilities.

By attending this session, participants will:

  • Learn what has changed in Victorian rental laws since November 2025
  • Understand the obligations of landlords, tenant agents, and property managers
  • Find out more about compliance requirements and protections for renters
  • This session is designed to empower tenants with the knowledge they need to understand their legal rights, recognise when those rights may be affected, and feel more confident navigating the rental system.
