Event information

This session provides a clear and practical overview of the obligations that primary and secondary education providers have under Victorian disability discrimination law. Attendees will learn about the rights of students with disabilities, the responsibilities of schools, and the types of adjustments and supports that should be provided to ensure fair access to education.

The presentation will also cover what discrimination can look like in an education setting and outline pathways for raising concerns or seeking help when issues arise. There will be an opportunity for attendees to ask questions and gain tailored guidance.

This session is designed for parents and carers of children and young people with disabilities, as well as anyone wanting to better understand how disability rights apply in schools.
