Event information
Community Law Corner is a free, welcoming legal information stall held during our weekly food relief program. On Thursday 21 May from 9:30 am to 11:30 am, a qualified lawyer will be available to provide practical, easy‑to‑understand information on common legal issues affecting our community.
The session will focus on everyday topics including tenancy rights, fines, debt, and family law basics. Attendees will also receive guidance on where to access free or low‑cost legal support and appropriate referral pathways. Community members are encouraged to drop in, ask questions, and receive clear information about their rights and responsibilities in a safe and supportive environment.
This event is designed for vulnerable community members, particularly people experiencing financial stress, housing insecurity, or family challenges, who may face barriers to accessing legal services or may be unsure where to start.
By bringing legal support into a familiar and trusted setting, Community Law Corner helps break down barriers and empowers individuals with knowledge and confidence to take the next steps toward support.
