The production will once again be performed in the historic Old Melbourne Magistrates’ Court at the Old Melbourne Gaol, offering audiences a rare opportunity to experience a gripping courtroom drama inside a once‑functioning court.
The cast and creative team feature members of Melbourne’s legal community, including barristers, lawyers, law students, and even a retired County Court judge in the role of the presiding Judge. This unique blend of theatre and legal expertise brings an added layer of authenticity to the performance and creates a Law Week experience unlike any other.
Audiences will be immersed in Christie’s celebrated thriller, which follows Leonard Vole, a young man accused of murdering a wealthy widow. With dramatic testimony, surprise twists, and high‑stakes courtroom tension, the play keeps viewers guessing until the final moment.
