This online professional development session is for staff who support young families and want to understand how to access free legal assistance through Allied Justice. The session will explain referral pathways and services available for the young families participants work with.
Staff who do not work directly with young families will also benefit from this introduction to Allied Justice services and how they can be used in a range of service contexts.
The session will cover the following topics:
- Allied Justice services for families
- Family legal health checks
- Warm referrals
- Secondary consults
- Conflicts of interest
- Free legal clinics
There will be time for questions. Please note the session will be facilitated by a member of the Health Justice Partnerships team who is not a lawyer. Information provided during the session will be general in nature and relate to service provision only.
