Villamanta Disability Rights Legal Service invites people with lived experience of disability to join us for an afternoon at the Melbourne Registry of the Administrative Review Tribunal (ART).
Participants will take part in a guided tour of the ART, hear from the ART President, and learn about accessibility at the Tribunal from Melbourne Registry staff. The session will conclude with an afternoon tea.
As appeals of NDIS decisions are heard by the ART, this event is a valuable opportunity to learn what to expect if you need to attend a case conference or hearing to appeal an NDIS decision in the future. The session aims to increase confidence and understanding of how the Tribunal operates and how people with disability can engage with the process.
There will be time to ask questions of the ART President and Registry staff, so participants are encouraged to come prepared with any questions they may have.
This event is designed to support access to justice by providing practical, accessible information in a welcoming environment.
