The Centre for Innovative Justice has been partnering with the Transport Accident Commission to include restorative justice as an option for people who have experienced a road trauma. A panel discussion sharing lived experience examples will show how the practices and principles of restorative justice have an important role to play in assisting the recovery and healing for people who are living with the trauma of experiencing a road collision.

An unexpected road collision can connect strangers to a traumatic moment in time that can have devastating ongoing effects. A safe and supported conversation can assist to ease the burden of these impacts in surprising and meaningful ways. The audience will have the opportunity to engage with panel members to ask questions and follow their curiosity to learn more about these practices.
