The law can intersect with life in many ways – whether it meets you where you live work or play, we are all likely to experience legal issues at some point in our lives, even without realising it! In fact, recent research shows that 66% of people have experienced a problem that they didn’t realise was legal.

As part of Victorian Law Week (19 – 25 May, 2025), we want to highlight where law meets life in Horsham and surrounds through a photography project in partnership with local community groups.

We are inviting you to send us photos and images of where you think civil law shows up in your daily life. It could be as simple as a broken fence, a questionably parked car or even property damage from a storm or fire.

We hope that by making these problems visible, we might start to build legal capability in the community and help others to understand when the law might be able to help them with their problem. Photos will be shared at an event at Horsham Art Gallery on Tuesday 20th May and through social media and comms channels throughout Law Week.
