Career in the law
Career in the law

The Victorian Bar’s Christopher McDermott will chair a panel that shares their insights on managing career expectations, career trajectory, challenges, and rewards of being a barrister, from a First Nations perspective.

Joining Chris will be his Indigenous Justice Committee Co-Chair Tim Goodwin and Candice Jackson. They will talk about the many opportunities available for First Nations law students and lawyers when considering a career at the Bar. These extend beyond what is stereotypically expected of First Nations lawyers (e.g. native title, land rights, criminal law, and family law).
