Event information

School is in session at the Supreme Court for Law Week. The Court will host a special Court Education Program event to celebrate learning and the legal system. More than 50 students from Hume Central Secondary College will meet with Justice Rita Incerti, where the former teacher, solicitor and Associate Justice will talk about her career path and her role as a criminal and common law judge.

Members of the public can also learn more about the history of juries in an exhibit at Law Library Victoria, within the Supreme Court. This display showcases a number of interesting artefacts, including two documents from 1826 detailing the laws governing juries, that predate the establishment of the colony of Victoria. The Library is open from 8.30am-6pm, Monday to Thursday, and 8.30am-5pm on Fridays.
