The law can intersect with life in many ways.

It can be to do with your home, work, relationships, where you are or what your buy.

Sometimes it’s easy to deal with, or it can be difficult. It can feel distressing or help you feel safe.

Victorian Law Week is a time to understand what happens and where to get help, when the law intersects with life.

Understand your legal rights

Whether it’s for you, your family or the people you support, Victorian Law Week events help to understand your rights and responsibilities.

You could find expert advice to help you navigate a problem with your home, talk with a lawyer to solve a family issue or join a discussion on rights and discrimination.

There’s bound to be an event that could help you learn where the law can help.

A week for all Victorians

Victorian Law Week runs from 19– 25 May 2025.

Every year, a week of community-based events help Victorians to identify legal problems, find legal information, get the right help and learn how the law works.

Events and activities are run by a range of legal, community and government organisations with the program managed by Victoria Law Foundation.
