Join Energy and Water Ombudsman (Victoria), Catherine Wolthuizen, for an informative webinar on energy bill payment issues, disconnection rules, complaints, and consumer rights and responsibilities.

What should you do when you can’t pay your energy bill? What are the rules about disconnection and where can you go if you have a complaint?

It’s important to understand the rights and responsibilities of consumers in Victoria when it comes to electricity, gas and water issues. We rely on energy and water in our daily lives, but many people don't know where to turn when something goes wrong, or when there’s an unresolved issue with their providers.

As Victoria shifts toward renewable sources of energy, it’s never been more important to understand consumer rights and responsibilities. Catherine Wolthuizen of the Energy and Water Ombudsman (Victoria) will help you tap into these important details that affect everyone in Victoria.

About the Energy and Water Ombudsman
The Energy and Water Ombudsman (Victoria) is a free, independent service that can investigate complaints in Victoria’s electricity, gas and water sector. Thousands of Victorians come to EWOV each year for assistance with a range of issues such as billing mistakes and delays, debt collection, privacy breaches and trouble paying bills. EWOV’s role is to independently resolve disputes in a fair and reasonable way, to help improve consumer and market outcomes.
