Protecting the work rights of international students

A group of students huddled around a desk writing on a whiteboard.
Learn about Jobs Victoria’s personalised services that connect international students with decent employment and utilise their skills and experience.

Finding work is an important issue for many international students in Australia and yet unfortunately they are vulnerable to underpayment and exploitation.

As part of Victorian Law Week, join Study Melbourne to understand how we can better protect the work rights of international students. We’ll be joined by experts from Victoria’s leading organisations:

• JobWatch
• The International Student Accommodation and Employment Legal Service
• Jobs Victoria and
• The Migrant Workers Centre

If you’re an international student, or you work with international students, this discussion will connect you to tailored legal and advocacy services. You can also arrange a legal education presentation for students at your campus.
